Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology (AUPO)
AUPO had a website that was outdated, difficult to maintain and did not adequately serve their membership.
AUPO is a national membership organization whose mission is to serve, support, and provide information to departments of ophthalmology including department chairs, program directors, and other faculty members. The organization had a website where much of the information and resources for site visitors was provided primarily through linked pdfs with no ability for users to filter and search. Additionally, the website lacked forms for submissions/requests and did not integrate well with their Personify CRM.
Parallel delivered a simple and intuitive user interface with easy access to resources specific to member roles and interests.
Parallel worked with AUPO’s website project team to identify areas where services could be more streamlined and delivered to both members of the organization and leadership. We converted a print-only member directory to be accessible and searchable on the website for members logged into the website. We created a resource library for members and their Board of Directors so users could access information specific to their roles and interests in the organization. We also improved the internal and external workflow of a popular feature, a job listing board were we created a form submission for users with required fields. This form helped streamline external submissions for users, as well as internal workflow for organization staff.
Our work with AUPO enhanced their online presence by making member resources and support easily accessible to site users and more easily updated and maintained by staff.
