Washington State Convention Center

The Washington State Convention Center (WSCC) needed to create a new, modern website to support planners, exhibitors, and visitors using the largest convention center in Washington State .

WSCC's existing site was ancient, hard to maintain, and didn't reflect the state of the art facility that was built over Seattle's main freeway. Sales were being lost as users couldn't navigate the site to contact representatives. Staff was frustrated as only a few IT staff had access to the site and the ability to update content.

Parallel built a new site worthy of this economic engine in the center of downtown Seattle.

Working with WSCC, we architected and designed a new, open source site built with Drupal that focused on connecting prospective event planners with sales representatives. Fonts and colors were selected to match updated wayfinding in the convention center to make sure that visitors' experience was consistent whether they were online or at an event. Custom integrations were built to support WSCC's iEBMS system.
